Hello,
I've been digging aroung the various manuals and sk articles but there
are still some stuff not clear for me.
Here is the scenario :
- 1 NGX HFA2 SmartCenter server on SPLAT NGX (basic, not pro)
- 1 NGX HFA2 FW-1/VPN-1 enforcement module cluster with 2 nodes and
Cluster-XL (LSM mode)
With that I would like to use (I have all appropriate licences)
- SmartView Monitor
- Eventia Reporter
- Performance Pack if possible (my cluster nodes are bi-Xeon)
- Floodgate (I think not possible as it is not compatible with Perf Pack
/ Cluster XL, right?)
- SmartUpdate (for licences management, I don't want to deploy updates
with it)
My questions are :
- is it possible :) ?
- what should I install where ? For example, does SmartView Monitor only
has to be installed on the Smart Centre or is there some module to add
on the enforcement module?
For now I think I should install
- Smart Centre server + Eventia Reporter 'standalone' + SmartView
Monitor on the "mgt server machine"
- VPN-1 + Cluster XL + Performance Pack on the cluster members
(enforcement modules).
I should also enable Hyperthreading on my Xeon machines and make sure I
am booting on the SMP kernel.
Am I correct ?
