Hi,

I recently faced a similar issue. If you are using dhcp then according
to my understanding the responsibility of registering the name in dns
lays with the dhcp server. If you are using static ip pools it's the
responsibility of the client.

Following MS article might be of use to you
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q246804/

Change the following registry values for the secureclient adapter,
triggers dns registration of the secureclient

DisableDynamicUpdate                    -> 0
EnableAdapterDomainNameRegistration     -> 1

At least this it how it works for R56 HFA-03 client.

Check out the setomva.bat code from the secureclient package for some
code on how to more or less automate the process. Unfortunately
changing anything in the setomvat.bat triggers reporting of crc error if
you run the new package.

Regards,

Werner

DHCP

Hello,

We have set up R60 on SPLAT with office mode and DHCP.

Is there a possibility to deliver the hostname of the VPN client to the
DHCP server?

Regards
Bernhard Weiser
