This was the problem, I had to add the routes for these new subnets......thanks
for all your help, I am relatively new to checkpoint and joining this mailing

With checkpoint, you can NOT route traffics between two interfaces defined
as "External" in the topology, unless you have checkpoint unlimited license.
But I've been told by Checkpoint TAC that it is not a supported feature either.
