I know of several installations where Splat runs in an ESX but only as
management station. This setup works good but is not officially supported. I
myself want to migrate my physical Win management to an ESX Splat and therefore
I have filed an rfe at CP but I got no feedback until now. I have a high level
person at CP keeping an eye on this and he told me that CP uses VMWARE
internally for R&D. Thus I think CP will soon give me an official statement for
running a mgmt splat in esx. As soon as I got a message I will post it here.
