It didn't help.
CheckPoint confirmed that this is some kind of bug (they got similar reports
from other customers). I'm waiting for sollution and will inform you.

a) rename the (local-workstation) directory (<Profile path>\local
Settings\Temp\SWS>) "SWS to SWS-old" (or delete all the files within SWS) and
try again. it runns - great...if not ...
b) try it on different clients. it runns - great...if not....
c) have you edited the cpsws_sb.xml file on the connectra portal?
if yes, it could be, that you have not used the correct syntax. if yes, you get
errors like you described. you can test the isw offline (see sk 31592).
if it offline works, you can replace the cpsws_sb.xml (make a backup to ...old)
on the connectra portal with (offline) cpsws.xml (rename it to cpsws_sb.xml).
