All,

Just want to share this information with everyone.

  I upgrade my Provider-1 NG Feature Pack 3 Manager+Container from HFA_318 to
HFA_327 the other day and according to Checkpoint documentation HFA_327
release
note, it stated: "Installing MDS_HFA_327 Hotfix will override any changes
that were
applied to the INSPECT files by the customer".

Well, that is NOT entirely accurate. I've made changes to the user.def file
and it
survives the HFA upgrade. All the changes made to the base.def file was
override
by the HFA upgrade which was expected.

I guess what I am trying to say is that you need to test these things before
applying
to your production environment. Checkpoint documentation is really bad.
They even
mispelled the word inspect as INPSECT. I was searching INSPECT in the release
  notes and came up empty.
