I believe that I have correctly set up a QoS rule that applies
specifically to a certain URL. I created a URI for QoS resource, and
used the same syntax for the URL as the example on the help page. Under
the QoS rule, the source/destination is Any/Any, with the service being
HTTP with the resource of my URI for QoS.
After testing though, I download large quantities from this URL, and my
rate is not being limited as I have specified. The info field in
Tracker indicates that I am hitting the exact domain that I have
specified in the QoS rule. I know QoS is working in general, however,
since if I filter by the destination IP address for that same site, the
rate limiting works perfectly.
I don't want to filter by IP address in this case, since the IP is a
content mirror that houses a variety of content. I just want to rate
limit a specific domain name.
Has anyone successfully used URI for QoS resources to shape traffic?
Thanks,
Eric
