Hey there,
it is using broadcacst as its HA legacy mode and the switches settings
are correct and according to the knowledge base from what i know.
does changing this to new mode solves the problem ?

If you are using Cisco switches and Multicast then check knowledge base for
what you need do to set the Cisco Switches correctly.
For testing purpose change cluster to use Unicast to see if problem still
persist....

Hello Gurus,
I have my cluster running on HA legacy mode runing on SPLAT and I have
a few interfaces configured to it.
I have a problem with one server which is connected to vlan1 on the
cluster (gw1a/gw1b) which is using a shared IP of 10.22.0.6 and the
server ip is 20.10.1.21. This server is running telnet and the rules
are applied correctly and traffic is passing BUT the connection drops
sporadically and freezes and it will come back alive after 30mins or
so. When i did a tcpdump i found that the server is replying ack to 2
MAC addresses of the gw1a and gw1b. BTW gw1a is the active and gw1b
is standby.
Why is the standby gateway MAC address in going through to the server
? Isn't it suppose to be the active gateway only ?
Is there something I missed ?
I am running on HFA17.
