What version of firmware are you running. I am currently running
firmware 1.2 on our Proventia G400's.

Thanks,

Annette

Its no checkpoint issue

This is due to firmware upgrade of the proventia to 1.3

Please open TAC with ISS support :-)

p.s. I had the same problem.

I am running a firewall on HP DL380 and attached to a Proventia G400 and
I am having trouble getting the nic's to run at 100/FD. When I hard
code them on the Proventia, firewall and switch it causes the nic on the
firewall to go to "no link". When I set it to Auto neg on the firewall
and Proventia it goes to 100/HD. I can not seem to make this work
running a 100/half. I have had the network person set the speed on the
switch to Auto neg and when I hard code everything to 100/FD it shows up
on the switch as 100/HD.

I) I have swapped cables out (both the cross over and straight cable
connection)
2) Changed nics from integrated to Intel Pro/1000 Dual Port
3) changed ports on switch
4) went directly from the firewall to the switch (bypassing Proventia)
and can run at 100/FD.
5) RMA'd the Proventia box - same problem

Spoke with Checkpoint they say its not a problem on the firewall since
it can run at 100/FD when connected directly to the switch.
ISS so far has no suggestions and has not responded.

I was hoping someone else might be running with a Proventia and firewall
and could tell me how they made it work while running at 100/FD.

Thanks,
Annette
