To upgrade, you need to run a specific command after inserting the disk. You
can find this command in
the "Complete Upgrade Guide" available here:
http://www.checkpoint.com/support/technical/documents/docs_r62.html. You will
need UserCenter
credentials with a valid software subscription to get the document.

all the documentations can be downloaded from checkpoint site.
