I suggest you to use another interface for sync during the modification.
ie :
- change sync interface in topology
- push the policy
- check that there is no sync traffic anymore on your sync link that
should be readdressed
- check with cphaprob and fw tab -t connections -s that the sync is ok.
- change the ip via sysconfig
- change the ip in smartdashboard
- set the modified interface as 2nd sync
- push the policy
- check if sync traffic is ok
- redefine the sync interfaces as needed.
it's better in a production system to have at least two sync links (you
can use one dedicated and a lan that's also used for a cluster interface).
