Hi
Petter posted a interim solution until such time that Checkpoint
provides a option to reclaim screen estate.
Hopefully this will help someone else.
Cheers

Subject: R65 SmartCenter tools (disable blue title bar?)
Hi
Sorry for intruding..
Saw your posting regarding the rather useless logo-bar in the CheckPoint
GUIs
on the CP mailinglist on apr 5th.
Unfortunately, seems like I am unable to post to the list at the moment,
so
I chose to anwer you directly.
This logo is also annoying me and my companys customer quite a lot, so I
decided to find out more about it.
Have CheckPoint come up with a solution?
If not, try this (at your own risk of course, cannot guarantee nothing
bad will happen):
Take a copy of the .exe's for the CheckPoint GUI.
Open *.exe's in a resource editor. i.e (C:\Program
Files\CheckPoint\SmartConsole\R65\PROGRAM\Fwpolicy.exe)
Find the bitmap for the logo, it's a Bitmap Resource. (see table below)
Delete the bitmap.
Save the exe.
Since it now does not have anything to display below the title-bar of
the
window, it will pull everything else up, like the earlier versions.
After this is done and verified, the .exe's may be copied to other
machines after installing the GUI.
I used XN Resource Editor, but other editors will also work
http://www.wilsonc.demon.co.uk/d10resourceeditor.htm
FILE : Bitmap Resource number
fwpolicy.exe : 1734
cplgw.exe : 359
secureupdate.exe : 32842
SmartCons.exe (smartview monitor) : 18181
analyzerclient.exe : 448
robomanager.exe (smart lsm) : 246
smartviewreporterclient.exe (eventia reporter) : 140
provider.exe : 25316
guidbedit.exe does not have a logo.
BTW: This is a rather personal hack, not my companys.
