You can move it to another box. I've got mine running on a 2 GHz desktop
running Server 2003 with 2 GB of RAM.
You'll install the Eventia Reporter Server on another box, and once it's
installed, kill the services ("rmdstop" in Windows).
Copy the database folder over from the firewall so you don't lose the data,
overwriting the files of the same name. Restart the server services.
Create a new Check Point object on the SmartCenter with the name and IP
address of the new Eventia Reporter server. Establish SIC with it.
This sounds like the SmartCenter is also on the firewall, so you'll then
uninstall Eventia Reporter from the SmartCenter/firewall. Then you'll
reinstall it on the SmartCenter/firewall and part way through the install,
it will ask you if you want to install just the Add-In. The answer is Yes.
This is the part that talks to the new Eventia Reporter server and sends the
firewall logs over.

Hi,
I just ran out of disk space on my firewall. I noticed the offending file
was a MySQL database file ...
-rw-r----- 1 544 18 15,579,742,208 Apr 11 14:59 ibdata1
As I can't find any documentation on why and when checkpoint use MySQL - I
can only presume that logs are stored there.
Does anyone know anything about this? how can the data be purged? Can the
MySQL database be accessed (is there a password)? Do I just have to grin
and buy more disk?
