have remote console access to all kit with a serial console port. We use it
primarily for Checkpoint boxes (mainly Nokia) because it also allows you to
gracefully shut down the box via the console port and then power it down and
later back up, over the remote link. This removes the risk of the file
structure being corrupted by client's planned maintenance.
The Pushkablue has triple security on it's modem & we have never had a problem
with unauthorised access.
I have no connection with Pushkablue, other than being a satisfied customer.....
