*To configure log-file rotation on SecurePlatform, Apply the following
steps.
**Procedure:*
1. Type log --help to display all log utility commands and usage, from
Expert Mode environment.
2. Type log list to list all system and log files that can be
controlled by log commands.
3. Use the command log limit to set limits on file size and number of
backup copies retained in Expert Mode. It is not possible to rotate logs
according to time, only file size. Add-on utilities for VPN-1/FireWall-1 NG
with Application Intelligence R54 and R55 offer a cron utility to schedule
time-based custom rotation.
*Warning:*
Check Point does not recommend or support modifying the log-utility script
to customize log output.
