You're aware of the ipf howto at <http://www.obfuscation.org/ipf/>? It's best to get the pdf or ps and print it out, so you can make notes. That document single-handedly sold me to ipfilter many years ago. It badly needs updating wrt. ipf v4 features like ippools, though.
