I have experienced random system crashes under Solaris 9, but with early
versions of pfil & ipf (ipf 4.1.9, pfil 2.1.6). However, every time it
happened, the system has been rebooted by ALOM watchdog so it didn't hang
for good (maybe you don't have watchdog activated in your machine or don't
have it at all). After upgrading to ipf 4.1.13 and pfil 2.1.9 the problem
didn't occur anymore.
