Actually it deletes the line in one place, then replaces it further down with a few new ones. If you are replacing it by eye, diff it aftwards and see if the diff matches Darren's patch.

Cut and pasting the patch information from the email will not work very well since the patch program is very sensitive about proper spacing and it won't come out right.

I've been running this on a few systems and no crashes yet. Be another few days before we are ready to proclaim victory and move it onto large prodution systems.
I wonder if Solaris 10u3 has the same problem, anyone see it happen?
