Thread-topic: How do I specify not to ping, but scan no matter what

I have a dns machine with and IPS.  If we ping the server, we’re blocked, but the only open port is UDP 53….  Can I turn off all ping (UDP TCP ICMP) and will nessus then scan the IP I supply without question?

I have a few other machines in the same situation, but other ports…

I use nessus from cron using batch mode

Nessus –T nbe –qx localhost 1241 user pass infile outfile
