Sorry, I can't help with the first problem. As for the second, well, NessusWX doesn't work in batch mode. There is a limited commandline interface in Nessus for Windows 3.x that will work from batch (run "NessusCmd" in a DOS window in C:\Program Files\Tenable\Nessus w/o any arguments for a brief help message). If that doesn't meet your needs, you should explore the unix commandline client, which you can launch from cron.
