At bash shell (SuSe 10.1), I give the following command:
$ /opt/nessus/bin/nessus-fetch --challenge

I get a command not found error.

What is the exact error message you get?

Can you verify the commandline you're typing? Eg, are you possibly including the dollar sign in the command (eg, "$ /opt/nessus/bin/nessus-fetch --challenge")? Or omitting the space and doing instead "/opt/nessus/bin/nessus-fetch--challenge"?
