Hello,

 

I have already downloaded the GUI GTK client RPM from the site.

I have already installed the 3.0.5 Nessus server in a linux machine.

I wanted to know the following,

 

1. I need a GUI access in Linux to use the Nessus as shown in the Demo in Nessus website.

2. For this, should we need a GTK Client?

3. If so, Should this GTK client run in the same machine where the Nessus server is running?

4. Kindly guide me the complete steps to install and use the Linus GUI based Nessus access as I didnt get more information from the Documents provided in the Nessus site.

Whether or not you have the Nessus Client on a seperate machine or on the same machine as the server is a matter of your preference, needs, and resources. I have actually run the server hard enough to cause the client to become slow, but that was scanning a very large number of machines at once.
