I've used both. While performance
is definitely one issue, you'll also find benefits based on the flexibility
the linux platform provides you, in my opinion. For instance, the
nbe files created in Linux just don't seem to be present in the Windows
version: it's straight to XML. Linux just seems to give you a few
more options along those lines.

Hi
We´re loking for a vulnerability scannner,
and we'd be interested in deploying the Nessus tool, version 3. For now
we are considering the OS between Linux [a Suse dsitribution] and Windows
[windows server 2003].
Do you know if the linux version of nessus
is better than the windows version in the Nessus release 3?
