I am also experiencing the same thing.
The auto reply does not seems to work.
qmail-ldap does pick up the QMAILMODE from the
deliveryMode attributes

but did not do the actual reply.
Is there some other ldap fields that we need to add ?
BTW how does one exactly point the mailReplyText to a file ? it's not
very clear from http://www.qmail-ldap.org/wiki/Category:LDAP_Fields wiki
