It is not possible to have only one password field, you
can have a LDAP entry with sambaSamAccount and qmailUser without
any problems, then you just need to activate 'ldap passwd sync'
in your smb.conf.

The problem is synchronize the fields. When a user change his Samba password, the field userPassword of qmailUser must be changed too. With the ldap passwd sync can I do it?

If you change passwords in another way (via some script
in the web) you will need to add the NT/LM Password part to it
or use a samba tool behind the scenes to do the trick.

The users change their passwords via 'change password' tool of Windows. So, I guess Samba takes care about it.
