  - Build a qmail-ldap cluster. Your SMTP-Server(s) can be different from
    the mailbox-storage server(s). see
    http://www.qmail-ldap.org/wiki/Lwql#Cluster

  - put a box running OpenBSDs spamd graylisting daemon in front of your
    server. You can do this transparently if needed. See
    http://www.ualberta.ca/~beck/nycbug06/spamd/
    This will reduce the load on your Spamassassin/Visrusscanner.
