Hi guys,
I've tried to install qmail-ldap server on Fedore Core 3. Here are the procedure I took:

first attempt, patch qmail-1.03 with qmail-ldap-1.03-20060201.patch from nrg4u.com <http://nrg4u.com> and combined it with the qmailrocks.org <http://qmailrocks.org>'s qmail-1.03 installation yet skipped the patch from qmailrocks. I installed daemon-tools, ucspi-tcp, vqadmin, courier, squirrel, vpopmail, etc. It won't works - except I can login via squirrel web mail with the (local) postmaster account that I create via vqadmin (you can fool me for this attempt I took). Each time I send an email, I can see that they stuck in queue. FYI, the qmail service was running well and there were no autodirmake.

second attempt, patch qmail-1.03 with qmail-ldap-1.03-20060201.patch, finished the installation of qmail as Mr. Dave Sill said in his "The qmail hand book" ( I bought it from the net - ISBN 1-893115-40-2). Tried to send email from command prompt, it works (there's a Maildir directory and email in the (LOCAL) user's home directory). Sent to another mail server in DMZ, it works (testing mail server has a private ip address 10.10.10.10 <http://10.10.10.10>). But when I replied, the server granted me with a Mailer daemon. The mail said it has problem with ehlo/helo 10.10.10.10 <http://10.10.10.10>. Another symptom, there were no autodirmake for the users listed in ldap server.

third attempt, I've followed the instructions from www.qmail-ldap.org <http://www.qmail-ldap.org> and/or www.lifewithqmail.org/ldap....I <http://www.lifewithqmail.org/ldap....I> failed again. The qmail-smtpd defunct either. :((
Remove all qmail-ldap installations. Start afresh with instructions here..

Report any problem you face, do not reinstall instead of solving the problem.
