What error did you get when you give above commands?

Can you show us the top 20/50 lines of Makefile in your patched qmail source?

And about www.proscrutiny.com <http://www.proscrutiny.com>, I still cannot access it.
Wait for sometime and it will resolve after your ISPs DNS cache expire.
My nslookup www.proscrutiny.com <http://www.proscrutiny.com> still give 64.62.190.191 <http://64.62.190.191>
is correct.
