Hi Sameer,

I apologized for sending this email before checking if the mail server is connected to the right LDAP server or not. The user did change his password on the operating LDAP server while the mail server still bind to the trial LDAP server. After I change the /var/qmail/control/ldapserver to point to the right ip address, everything is working as it should be. Thank you, Sameer.

PS. The auth_smtp is working too now.

If password was changed successfully then he should login with new password.

No, new password is immediately comes in effect.

No restarting required.

Check if your lookup is proper and that your password is in correct format.

look for "Something is wrong with qmail-smtpd. Cannot receive/send mail."

tell us what it says if you can't spot any problem.
