Thanks for your tips Russ. I noticed your domain publishes SPF
records so I added SPF for my domain but the problem still happens.
If my IP and/or domain is on a blocklist, shouldn't the appropriate
behaviour be to reject the message? In my logs i'm seeing the
Hotmail.com servers returning a 250 but the message doesn't show up
in the Hotmail.com mailbox.
Log example:
2007-04-13 12:53:48.409552500 delivery 26: success:
65.54.244.200_accepted_message./Remote_host_said:_250__<200704131253.43735.neil@ncsconsulting.com>_Queued_mail_for_delivery/
Then logging into the Hotmail.com mailbox shows no message, not even
in the Junk folder.
I opened a support ticket with MS. No response to the first one
opened so I just opened another one.
I've visited their policies and as far as I can tell i'm following all
their rules. Also, if a remote mailserver returns a 250 doesn't that
mean the server is accepting responsibility for delivering the
message? So if the message gets dropped without a bounce (and
without going into any mailbox folder), shouldn't that be considered
a bug??
