Which one is better: qmail-scanner or simscan?

Hi ...

I read somewhere saying that simscan (written in C) was better than
qmail-scanner (written in pearl). But according to my experience, it's
not true (pardon my stupidity), because my qmail-ldap server, with
simscan+clamav+spamassassin, is slower than the qmail server, with
qmail-scanner+clamav+spamassassin. Slower means the time the server
took to process incoming emails.

Actually it really doesn't matter anymore since I had decided to scan
emails come from other domain only. But I am just curious with the
fact I notice above and I want to make sure that there's nothing wrong
with my qmail-ldap configuration. Thanx before.
