i apologize for this being off-topic for the qmail list, but i

it wasn't *too* far off-topic.

I would sincerely hope that discussion of your scripts and patches
is not OT here, as your "stuff," -- web pages included -- have
been extremely useful to this qmail newbie.

I was _going_ to post a question about "system" users being
included in the output of mkvalidrcptto, but,

a) I see in the script where you define a min/max range for UIDs,

and,

b) on rerunning mkvalidrcptto I now get the message:

# mkvalidrcptto > validrcptto.txt
/var/qmail/users/cdb: No such file or directory

Again, looking at your script leads me to believe that the fact
that a week ago I ran it successfully must be evidence that I
*once had* a /var/qmail/users/cdb file.

Apart from the interesting mystery as to where it went, what can I
do to persuade mkvalidrcptto to run in its absence, or will that
not be considered a 'best practice?'

Best regards,

No no no, my fish's name is Eric, Eric the fish. He's an halibut. I am
not a looney! Why should I be tarred with the epithet looney merely
because I have a pet halibut?
