Hello,
I’ve got an interesting problem with a
qmail-smtpd.
When some servers connect to It they
don’t even got an smtp banner (220) but some other do get it. (tested in
a normal telnet session of course))
It seems that all legal servers do have a
problem connecting to my machine, but all illegal that sends tons of spam is
able to connect.
This started Wednesday (20:th dec) 13:45
CET. And no changes was made during this week, I’ve even made a
successful restore of the complete machine from 13:th dec, but it made no
difference.
So what is qmail doing before the 220
banner is sent?
And especially what is it doing to the
network (and stuff that’s outside our box)
