Please forgive me if this is an faq or something, a bit of googling
and archive-searching didn't reveal the answer. Also please forgive
me if there's a better list to post this to, I saw other daemontools
questions here, and didn't see a better one.
I'm setting up a new server, and for reasons which are not yet clear,
some of the stuff I'm trying to control with daemontools (qpsmtpd)
isn't starting correctly, instead of an idling service, I get a string
of defunct tcpserver processes.
I'm trying to figure out where the output from supervise goes; I see
stuff in the source which appears to be spitting messages out fd 2,
but as near as I can tell, those messages go into hyperspace. I tried
tweaking the exec lines in /command/svscanboot, but that didn't do it.
If y'all have hints, or pointers to a "how to debug supervise when
it's not doing what you expect" document, it would be much
appreciated.
