That would be nice. It might not be necessary in this case. Depending on which greetdelay patch/program he is using, setting GREETDELAY to 0 might disable it. I realize setting an environment variable to 0, or null, is not the same as unsetting it and frequently does NOT have the same effect (e.g. RELAYCLIENT, RBLSMTPD). But I think in this case it might work; reading the doc for the specific delay patch/program might be helpful.
