Matt Simpson is brilliant!Yes, that appears to be the case! For future reference: I needed to log completely out to clear my shell. I'm SSH'ing into the machine. I kept spawning new shells from SSH client - but not closing all connections from the client before doing so. Shut down the client (and maybe qmail itself - can't remember now) and all is well. Restarting qmail alone didn't fix it. (Makes sense in hindsight...of course) Thanks again.
