Searching is turning up NADA so far. Has anyone else been able to
compile DJB software on Solaris 10?
Yes.
I just tried compiling ucspi-tcp-0.88 on SunOS 5.10 and didn't have a
problem.
I'm using Sun's GCC pkgs SUNW0gccfss and SUNW0scgfss.
There's a specific mailing list for daemontools at log@list.cr.yp.to.
...
Gotta be a Sun package not installed. I'll go review what the tech
installed when he did the OS.
Ahh, some packages are no longer installed by default with Solaris 10. I
went back and added the following,

SUNWsprot
SUNWarc
SUNWbtool

Those three pkgs exist in the developer software group called SUNWCprog.

By default, the cluster that's installed by JumpStart is the end-user
software group called SUNWCuser.
From less to more comprehensive, they are;
Core SUNWCreq
End user SUNWCuser
Developer SUNWCprog
Entire SUNWCall
Entire plus OEM support SUNWCXall

The OS administrator may have installed a less comprehensive group this
time around.

Exactly what happened. The NOC admin will be installing the correct packages (SUNWCprog) on the second server. I found the complete description of each package in the Solaris 10 System Administrator Collection at docs.sun.com.

Thanks for the heads up.

Three years now I've asked Google why they don't have a
logo change for Memorial Day. Why do they choose to do logos
for other non-international holidays, but nothing for
Veterans?

Maybe they forgot who made that choice possible.
