Ehi, this is a good idea.
Oops, I had it several months ago, and I'm working of a project
like this (even if I never made it public).
I'm selecting patches, with the idea to rewrite them in a qmail
style code, checking for errors, extending logging capabilities
and use a menuconfig style to select patches to compile in (the
toasters' idea is not good for me, if I don't want a patch, I
don't want its code to be compiled into my binary).
It's not an easy work, because the rewriting process is very time
consuming (but I see no other way to do a stable distribution), I
planned to keep it secret until first usable release, but now I
think it's time for the showdown (I don't think two similar projects
should exist, no need for this).
If you are interested in joining our efforts, I'm glad too.
But I want that project's guidelines will be defined in a purist way,
not just some so-called toaster patch.
Otherwise, I'll continue on my way, and just one will survive!!!
Ok, I'm joking, but for the other things I'm serious.
Damn, I knew that should happen! :)
Feel free to reply your feedback about it, I want the qmail community's
happyness, not my personal fame.
Bye :)
Fabio
