It does look somewhat similar, though it self-identifies as YSmtp or
the "Yahoo! MTA". If indeed it is qmail, they appear to have gone to
some length to hide that fact. Rather than base my estimate on its
habits in perfectly compliant SMTP responses, I think the way to find
out would more likely to be see if it has the same quirks.
Off the top of my head, things you could test for are: incorrect
8BITMIME handling, QSMBF, and CRLF strictness. Not that that *proves*
anything, of course, and some (like the 8BITMIME) might be a bit
tricky to check.
