Your message was sent as multipart/alternative (i.e. one copy in
plaintext,
plus another (much larger) copy in HTML). Please configure your MUA to
send
plaintext-only when sending to mailing lists; the HTML bloats your
message for
no reason, and causes it to get discarded by peoples' spam filters.

If you don't know how to fix your MUA, the following page has
instructions
for many common MUAs:

The typical problems here are timeouts or memory use, however ...

Run a system call trace on qmail-pop3d to find out what's failing. Or
simply
reduce the number of messages in that maildir to something sane --
400,000
messages in a maildir is madness.

Thank you for your reply. I have switched to plain text, please let me
know if it is ok.
As for the 400K trust me I know its madness but unfortunately I can not
do much about that. Can you please explain to me what you mean by "trace
on qmail-pop3d". also if there are any other oprions please let me know.

Thank you,
  Martin
