My named is not giving me any answers :

[root@yoruban init.d]# ./named
[root@yoruban init.d]# ./named start
[root@yoruban init.d]# ./named stop
[root@yoruban init.d]# ./named status
[root@yoruban init.d]# ./named start

Could this be part of the problem ?
The named service script is there and looks fine, how can it not be 
answering to those commands ?
