You mean control/id host does not exist ? i do not care for it. it does not 
exist on my friend's qmail installation and i was told that just the 'me' file 
there is mandatory.

Actually I missed the part where defaultdomain was found...I wanted to point out the /var/qmail /etc/qmail problem but as per your answer below...


How did you move your /var/qmail to /etc/qmail?!?! Is /var and /etc on the same filesystem?

/var/qmail links to /etc/qmail

No wonder it works. This is on the same filesystem I believe?
