[Snort-users] Multicore support for Snort

Hi,

Does Snort include code to take advantage of multi-core systems like the
Sun T1 based servers? Intel released a paper on performance boost using
Intel's quad-core Xeons where they mention having made changes to Snort
for taking advantage of the four cores. Did Intel release these changes
or was any such change incorporated in the Snort code base?
