Nope -- good call.

I recompiled daemontools 64 bit, rebooted, and have new results :)

I can now run with
# grep . DATALIMIT CACHESIZE
DATALIMIT:4294967296
CACHESIZE:4000000000

top shows:
654 dnscache  1  59  0 3817M 3816M sleep  0:23  0.00% dnscache

but when i bump up the limits,
# grep . DATALIMIT CACHESIZE
DATALIMIT:5368709120
CACHESIZE:5000000000

top shows:
849 dnscache  1  59  0  675M  674M sleep  0:03  0.00% dnscache

Any new clues ?
