I've never had this compiling problem on BSD, or other Unix systems.
Must be a problem with Linux... Maybe you should consider switching
OSes? :-)

Congratulations. If I ever decide to stop using djbdns, maybe I'll have
a look at MaraDNS; but since I haven't had any of the problems you
mention, that could be a while.

I don't really keep up on all the development surrounding DNS, but it
would seem that much hasn't changed has it?
