One of my principles is to learn from anybody even if I don't
appreciate or like that person.
At the same time any argument deserves to be considered in an
appropriate way.

Sam is not entirely wrong with some of his arguments.
We are running and have been running TinyDNS for over 4 years.
Installation under Debian is fairly easy but you need to provide
required patches in a special directory to be included for compiling.

Daemontools are easy to operate once you know how to do it but the
technique is a bit outside the currently common way to do this.

So, in comparison to other Linux packages installation is more
difficult. This means that some people will choose other programs
because of lack of knowledge or because they have been scared by other
people.
In that sense it would be good for djbdns if the source wouldn't
require patching.

...just my 2 cents.

Right. Because Dan would never, EVER, do anything like that to sendmail,
postfix, or BIND.

No, NEVER.
