Postfix will work fine on 64-bit OS'es. I have postfix running on multiple 64-bit Linux installs (Gentoo, not RH but 6-to-1).

Clean code should generally work fine on a 64-bit processor and postfix is very well-written clean code.

As an aside, if you are upgrading the same machine to 64-bit with the same hardware and expecting better performance, you will not find this. If you are upgrading to a new machine or adding >4gb ram and need 64-bit then you will.

Dear Sir,

I have plan to install Postfix to RHEL x86_64 because of more power in transferring messages of this software.

I like to install it by source code (.tar.gz) because it has more options, but hesitate it can support 64bit or can not.

Does Postfix support 64bit with installation by source code ?

Please help me.

Thanks you.
