UOL is one of the biggest, if not THE biggest, ISP from Brazil. It
has a HUGE base of email users as well as customer hosted domains. From
time to time their email system get screwed and things like this one
starts to happen.
On December/2006 UOL had VERY similar problem like this one. On the
date, i posted a message to a brazilian mailing list of sysadmins
regarding the problem:

Other person, on the same mailing list, on September 2006, also
regarding problems with UOL:

And so, from time to time, UOL do have problem with emails which
make messages stay for sometime on the queues. Most of the time, tough,
messages are delivered. The problem is our users are always expecting
messages to be delivered immediately, not in 48 hours :(
Luckly, things will back to normal 'automagically' on some days.
Experience shows me that when UOL have problems, there's absolutely
nothing you can do but wait. Call their tech support wont help, even for
their customers, because their system is ALWAYS 'working properly'.
